PRO TEAM POKER IS BORN
Release No. 1

One of the most exciting and innovative new sports events that fans will want to see is Pro Team Poker. And the establishment of the All American Association of Pro Team Poker was announced today by Norb Ecksl, President of the AAA PTP. “We have developed the newest team sport. It gives the sports fans and poker fans the excitement they long for.”

It is this creation and formation of a new concept with the game of poker that the American and international sports fan will enjoy. “We will begin to form new Pro Team Poker Leagues with Member Clubs across the country that will engage in competition in a Regular season, Playoffs and Championship matches,” explained Ecksl.

THE IDEA AND CONCEPT

The game of Poker has enjoyed the reputation of being one of the most popular sports in the world! Fans can vary in age and being male or female doesn’t matter. Our new system will be governed by tough rules and regulations that will add to the excitement of the old standard Texas Hold ‘em game.

To establish PTP Member Clubs, the AAA PTP will draw from a ready pool of players who are available and anxious to participate in our program. There are thousands of poker rooms in casinos around the country taking part in the poker revival. Millions are playing on the internet every day! More than 90 million people play some form of Poker every week.

Every year there are only a handful of championship matches around the country. The AAA PTP will solve most of these problems with strict organization and participant rules. Matches in the AAA PTP will be a brand of poker that will spur intensive team competition.

The game of poker is at a point where something new can and must be able to continue the interest in the sport. Can our Pro Team Poker concept attract new fans to the sport and can the strict adherence to rules and regulations bring the game to the many new fans and players that are out there? We say YES!

No, we are not the NBA, NFL, NHL or Major League Baseball. We do not profess to be.

There are no Johnny Chans, Stu Ungars, Doyle Brunsons, Annie Dukes, Kathy Leiberts or T.J. Cloutiers. But there may be another Phil Helmuth, Amarillo Slim Preston, Thuan Scotty Nguyen or Oklahoma Johnny Hale, among the hundreds upon hundreds of players that do not get a chance to play in the major tournaments.

Our concept will be major league in every way. The AAA PTP will feature matches on the professional level. They will include mascots, cheerleaders, music and promotions...everything that a sports fan has seen at any NBA, NHL, MLB or NFL game. The only difference being that it will be surrounding a very entertaining poker match that will have a bearing on all the rest of the Member Club’s matches for the whole season. A championship will be crowned as well as individual awards in a number of categories.

The All American Association of Pro Team Poker (AAA PTP) is ready and we know that the world is ready for this new and exciting sports concept.

THE FOUNDERS

A veteran of 25 years in sports management, Ecksl has a wide range of experience and has performed in every facet of sports and event management. Ecksl has served in every professional team sport from general manager on down in minor league baseball, hockey, soccer, football, basketball and tennis.

Fred Tillich will serve as Executive Vice President and Director of Operations. With over 25 years of management experience which specialized in product development, he has proven himself to be a self-starter and hard worker that sticks with a project to a successful conclusion. He spent the last five years in the gaming industry working all facets of live play at a major Native-American casino in the Phoenix metropolitan area. It was there he saw a need for a new, marketable way to bring together the concepts of team sports with the game of poker and adapt these principles so that players, customers and just plain fans would enjoy participating in and watching this new phenomenon.

THE SCORING SYSTEM, PRO TEAM POKER STATS™

A unique scoring system has been developed to be used in the AAA PTP. Each match will have 4 or 8 rounds divided by a halftime. Every winning hand receives a point for their team. Scoring and hand averages for individual players will be immediately available during and after every match through our Pro Team Poker Stats™ system.

Teams will receive or be deducted points for Knockouts, Slams, Grand Slams and Kills for team and match total points. Bonus points will be given for individual and team performances and player ratings will be determined by AAA PTP through this new statistical system. The team with the most points after the last round wins the match.
